Cedar County Memorial Hospital (CCMH) is seeking a dedicated and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) to join our specialty clinic team. This position will support a Specialty clinic physician and play an essential role in providing high-quality care in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Room patients and obtain vital signs (e.g., blood pressure, temperature, weight, height)
• Assist with provider assessments by collecting and documenting basic health data in-person and via phone
• Accurately document assessments and care instructions, including follow-up appointments
• Support providers during exams, procedures, and with use of diagnostic equipment as requested
• Maintain clean and organized patient care rooms; follow aseptic technique for procedures and medication administration
• Perform routine maintenance of non-complex instruments and equipment, and coordinate repairs as needed
• Assist with documentation as a scribe, entering provider dictation into the electronic medical record (EMR)
• Ensure patients understand and are able to comply with treatment plans and follow-up instructions
• Support clinic operations including patient registration, phone calls, scanning, and clerical tasks as needed
• Communicate results and updates to patients and providers in a timely, accurate manner
• Be available to assist the provider during all patient appointments, including sitting or standing for extended periods to input data or provide care
• Administer vaccinations and non-prescription medications; change bandages or wound dressings as necessary
• Maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA and organizational standards
• Adhere to all regulatory requirements, hospital policies, and Medicare “Conditions of Participation”
Qualifications:
• Current, unrestricted Missouri LPN or RN license
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a medical clinic or outpatient setting
• Proficiency in navigating EMR systems for documentation, referrals, and pre-authorizations
• Strong knowledge of nursing standards of care and best practices
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance
• Frequent reaching, bending, stooping, and use of hands/fingers for equipment and patient care
• Normal range of vision, hearing, speech, and manual dexterity required
