PRN LPN/ RN
CCMH has an immediate opening for a PRN Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN). This position provides nursing support across multiple CCMH departments as needed, ensuring high-quality patient care and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate is flexible, adaptable, and capable of working effectively in a variety of clinical settings.
Duties and Responsibilities
Include, but are not limited to:
Provide nursing support and patient care across various service lines as assigned.
Room patients and obtain vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, weight, height, pulse, respirations, and oxygen saturation.
Assist providers with patient assessments by gathering and documenting health information in person or via telephone.
Accurately document patient assessments, care plans, provider instructions, referrals, and follow-up appointments within the electronic medical record (EMR).
Assist with examinations, procedures, treatments, and operation of diagnostic equipment as directed by the provider.
Administer medications, vaccinations, treatments, and perform basic wound care within scope of licensure.
Ensure timely communication of test results, provider instructions, and patient follow-up needs.
Coordinate referrals, prior authorizations, and other patient care activities as needed.
Maintain clean, organized, and safe patient care environments while adhering to infection prevention and aseptic techniques.
Perform routine maintenance and monitoring of clinical equipment and report equipment issues for repair.
Promote patient understanding of treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care instructions.
Maintain confidentiality of all patient health information in accordance with HIPAA and CCMH policies.
Comply with all CCMH policies, procedures, nursing standards of practice, regulatory requirements, and ethical guidelines.
Support departmental staffing needs by floating between clinics and departments based on operational demands.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain required competencies and certifications.
Required Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities
Current, unrestricted Missouri LPN or RN license.
Minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience in a clinic, ambulatory care, family practice, specialty practice, or related healthcare setting preferred.
Strong knowledge of nursing standards of care and ability to apply clinical judgment appropriately.
Proficiency with electronic medical record systems and computerized documentation.
Ability to effectively coordinate referrals, prior authorizations, and patient follow-up activities.
Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to adapt quickly to different clinical environments, workflows, and provider preferences.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Physical Requirements
Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, and move throughout the workday.
Ability to lift, transfer, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
Ability to use hands and fingers for clinical procedures, computer operation, and handling medical equipment.
Visual, auditory, and verbal communication abilities sufficient to perform essential job functions.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with moderate to high workloads and frequent interruptions.
Ability to remain available and engaged throughout scheduled clinic hours, including prolonged periods of standing or sitting as required.
