Radiologic Technologist - 36 Hour shift, Overnights
Radiologic Technologist
Personal filling this position will be responsible for performing routine to complex diagnostic procedures with the scope of radiology practice and training to ensure the production of quality images of all anatomical structures for interpretation by a Radiologist.

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Serve as a competent and efficient Radiologic Technologist, ensuring quality x-rays and CT exams
• Assist in facilitating sufficient clinical workflow; add cases to schedule as necessary to meet patient needs in accordance with established protocols
• Care for and check equipment, reporting issues to Radiology Manager in a timely manner
• Be available to clinicians for questions and concerns throughout work schedule
• Assis in performing supplies inventory, stocking and ordering in accordance with department needs
• Provide basic bedside pre-operative and post-operative patient care
• In cooperation with all Radiology team members, assures performance standards are met and maintains appropriate documentation of daily and weekly QA testing on the CT/BMD machine
• Operates all radiology equipment efficiently, effectively, and safely to produce high quality diagnostic images as ordered by provider, using established, up-to-date guidelines and diagnostic imaging protocols
• Record all information concisely, accurately. and completely, in a timely manner, in the appropriate format and on the appropriate forms; enter all required information into EHR system
• Appropriately identifies, prepares, and positions patient for procedures by using established diagnostic imaging processes and protocols; enlists assistance from team members for difficult patients and/or radiologic tests
• Reviews provider’s order and verifies for accurate demographics and appropriate clinical data to ensure correct procedures is performed; ensures all established safety standards are followed at all times
• Cooperates with team members and other departments to achieve departmental and facility objectives; maintains good customer service relationships with patients, providers, and CCMH team members

Required Education, Knowledge, Skills and Physical Requirements:

 Current, unencumbered Missouri Radiologic Technologist Certification (with registration through the ARRT)
 Current BLS Certification
 Must successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing
 Critical thinking and exceptional organization skills a must
 Commitment to continual improvement of skill set through participation in educational opportunities on and off the job
 Must be physically able to walk, stand, sit, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, twist and turn, push and pull – sometimes from awkward positions – safely; ability to safely lift items weighing up to 50 lbs. and assist with moving patients up to 300 pounds; vision, hearing and dexterity skills must be within normal limits
 Effective, respectful, and courteous verbal communication skills a must, including correct and appropriate use of medical terminology
