CCMH has an opening for a full-time Quality Assurance/Process Improvement RN. This leadership role is responsible for the development, implementation, and evaluation of the hospital's overall quality assurance/process improvement (QAPI) program that includes ancillary, nursing, and medical staff departments to identify trends, prioritize and recommend improvements, decrease duplication, and ensure state compliance so Critical Access Hospital certification is not compromised or jeopardized. The Quality Assurance/Process Improvement RN will also investigate incident reports, patient complaints, patient care issues, and other issues as requested by the supervisor as well as monitor case management processes and decisions.
Duties and responsibilities for this position will include 1) Develop, implement, and oversee quality improvement to ensure delivery of the highest quality patient care, optimal patient flow, provider productivity, and continuity of care; 2) Coordinate efforts with medical staff to develop audit systems, perform data analysis, and prepare reports related to measuring objectives and tracking outcomes as required by grants, contracts, Health and Human Services, and/or Medicare. Analyze and report data as required in conjunction with the QI reporting calendar and for continued recognition through the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA); 3) Work with CEO, CFO, CNO, and Medical Director as well as members of management to develop and ensure the implementation of policies to minimize risk within the organization; 4) Assesses incidents involving patients, visitors and/or employees thoroughly and documents accurately and timely according to hospital policy
