Cedar County Memorial Hospital Adds New Mental Health Services

July 8, 2026 – Cedar County Memorial Hospital (CCMH) is pleased to announce the expansion of its behavioral health capabilities with the introduction of specialized mental health services via telehealth at the CCMH Medical Mall Clinic. This new service line is designed to bridge the gap in local mental health access, offering patients compassionate, high-quality psychiatric care in El Dorado Springs.

Leading the new telehealth service is Lee-Anne Millas, MSN, APRN, FNP-C/BC, PMHNP-C/BC, a highly experienced and dual-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Millas brings an extensive clinical background to CCMH, with expertise spanning primary care, telemedicine, mental health, family health, and geriatrics. Patients will come to the CCMH Medical Mall Clinic for appointments with Millas, who will see them virtually via a large television screen in a comfortable and private room. She will provide comprehensive behavioral health assessments, diagnoses, personalized treatment plans, and ongoing medication management. Beginning later this month, Millas will be available for appointments each week on Wednesdays and Thursdays.

"We recognize that taking care of your mental health is an essential part of overall well-being, and seeking help should never feel out of reach," said Don Carpenter, CCMH Chief Executive Officer. "By bringing Lee-Anne’s advanced expertise to our community, we are ensuring our neighbors can receive dedicated, professional support close to home."

Millas is recognized for her outstanding interpersonal skills, natural leadership, and deep commitment to elevating patient outcomes. Her diverse medical background includes critical care, acute and observational medicine, long-term care, transitional care, skilled nursing, and home health.

Millas earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Lake Superior State University, followed by a Master of Science in Nursing from Governors State University. She completed her post-graduate Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner certification at Concordia University Wisconsin, where she is currently pursuing her Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP). Outside of her clinical practice, Millas is an active individual who enjoys playing and coaching hockey, and she holds four black belts in martial arts.

To ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care, a provider's referral is required to schedule an appointment with Millas. Patients interested in utilizing these new telehealth mental health services should speak with their primary care provider to initiate a referral.
